Should there be a law requiring people to pass a drug test if they are applying to receive cash welfare?
ROSWELL, Ga. — Two Georgia lawmakers want welfare recipients to take drug tests, a controversial policy that’s been struck down as unconstitutional in other states, reports the Athens Banner-Herald.
Sen. John Albers, (R-Roswell), and Rep. Jason Spencer, (R-Woodbine), said Thursday they plan to introduce legislation to require people to pass a drug test if they are applying to receive cash welfare.
